My friend is having contractions every 20 mins that last about 30 seconds apiece can anyone give me an idea of about how long she might have until delivery she wants me to be with her at the hospital but I am supposed to work tomorrow from 12 to 6:00 and I don't think she is going to wait that long to have her baby.

Is this her first? I'd say you're probably good. I was having contractions like that for like a week.

She still has a while before she can even be sure it's labor in my opinion. I waited until mine were 7 minutes apart and they STILL made me walk at the hospital.

:!::!:

I wouldn't even be timing them until they were at the very least 10 minutes or less apart.

Ok that is good to hear. Yeah she doesn't want to leave for the hospital until they are about 6 mins apart because she lives an hour away from where she is delivering. Maybe she will hold out until friday afternoon...

Yeah she isn't really yet that was just over the last two hours they kinda shocked her it is her first and she is a week over her due date so she got really excited when she started feeling them.

I had contractions 10-20 minutes apart for at least a week before I actually went into labor. I didn't go to the hospital until my contractions were less than three minutes apart and I still didn't have him for another 12 hours lol.
My SIL on the other hand had no contractions and than once she started having them she went into the hospital and had her baby less than three hours later.
You really never know.
