Has anyone gotten pregnant after a tubal ligation years later? I know the first year there is a higher risk and as the years go by the risk of getting pregnant gets higher. I had a tubal ligation about 3-4 years ago and lately I

Yeah, I've heard of women getting pregnant more and more after tubal ligation but its usually like 10 years for more afterwards. I have a friend who was conceived years after his mom had the operation. My mom had hers after my little brother was born and he's 26 years old. She never got pregnant that I know of or had any tubal pregnancies. I just don't want to be one of those women who didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labor and ectopic pregnancies scare the crap out of me. :(

Mrs. K thought she had food poisoning. She was so sick she left school and went right to the ER. She was 15 weeks before she found out. When she was telling us about it she said the ER doc told her that it's easy to confuse pregnancy signs with menopause after a tubal because you just don't expect to get pregnant after them.

It can happen. I read an article somewhere the stated that the failure rate may be higher than you think. I forget where I saw that.

I had my done on July 12, 2010. No pregnancies so far!

Yeah, I haven't seen that but I've just been hearing more and more women getting pregnant after having one. It's been a bit since I had mine. I did end up testing and it came out negative so I feel okay right now. If I don't start my period soon. I'm probably going to make a doctors appointment.

I think its important to choose a good surgeon for tubal ligation or tubal reversal. If you choose a good doctor then success rate would be higher then some normal doctor.
