So I'm 16 weeks pregnant and went to the doctor's today to get pelvic exam ect...I was waiting on my medicaid to kick in so last week was my 1st prenatal appointment anyways, I got a pelvic exam. Now it seems like my right side in the ovary area is kinda hurting. The doctor checked everything and said I looked good and the baby's heart beat was great but is this pain normal? It seems to only be on the right side and lower corner.

round ligament pain. you could feel it all through your pregnancy..it's the ligaments that support your uterus stretching....not fun at all.

Round ligament pain. They're stretching to accomodate your growing belly.

And whoever said ligament tearing...um...no. Stretching. Big difference.

Thanks, I've been feeling it off and on but when it came back after the pelvic exam I got kinda worried.

I also had pain after my pelvic exam. I believe my pain was from the amount of pressure my doc applied to check the position of my uterus. If the pain does not go away or get worse...I would call just to be on the safe side.
