Quoting Laura Croft:" so what are you all getting your LOs for Christmas this year?"

I have no clue as of today. I really need to start looking at a few things. I do plan to get him an overstuffed chair from Pottery Barn Kids. That's about all that comes to mind. I like their little table & chairs as well.

Quoting Ailey+Lennon+Renner's Mom:" its not your money so why would it make you sick?"

Because it shows why our nation is the way it is. You can do whatever with your money, but it doesn't make it right. I just can't believe how materialistic people are anymore. Just like reading about Donald Trumps Jet and the crazy wasteful crap he put in it. Our kids could all use a lesson on the idea of less is more, and my own children are included into that. With that being said you can do and will do whatever you want with your money... and I really do hope the best for you and your family.

They are so adorable! He's kind of grown out of his bean bag, so I figured he would enjoy one of them.

Im a lil late on this post but I love this subject because Im obsessed with Christmas as well. But you out did me :) I cant even find that much stuff to buy lol. Mine are only 2,4 & 5 (ill also have a 3 month old this year but buyin a baby that much is pointless) so I will spend about 600 or so on all three. But that is ALL toys bc my mom does all the clothes for all the grandkids. She spends bout 300 per kid. She just started that with my first an we continued it with my kids an my niece. Then of course they get stuff from everyone else. Im sure when they get older the price will increase as the things they wont will be more expensive. Luckily they arent on the "gamer" stage yet lol so Im savin money for now. I get more excited for Christmas then they do!

You can personalize them too, which I love. Everything I have ordered from PBK has been good quality & lasts.

The first two Christmas I spent way too much, I must have spent over $500 on her and she ended up with close to 40 gifts after family sent her stuff. It was WAY too much for her and she lost interest so quickly. This year we are doing $100-$150 in cards for SOs sons. $250 on our oldest daughter (just because her doll house is over a hundred by itself) and maybe $100 tops on the baby. So around $600 for all 4. $400 per child is a bit much, that would be like 60 presents under the tree.. it's overwhelming for the children, I find. I can't judge though because i have way over spent in past years but I'm going to be stopping that lol

I had this question myself.... I think any child under 6, $200-250. Any child over the age of 6, the presents start costing more because they are into toys less, & more into electronics. So with the older children, I spend about $300-400. I mean.....come on, an xbox is over/about $300 alone. And what other time do you buy your child an xbox, other than Christmas!?!

We spent 150 on Eddie and my brother. Then we are spending 50 on his 2 brothers and around 25 on the adults ( 8 adults ). 225 total. We come from a huge family so everyone ends up with a billion presents anyways.

I agree. I really never buy my son presents except for Christmas, so he gets everything that he is going to get at that time of year. I bought him an xbox for $100, a nintendo 2ds for $100, five games for his xbox and one game for the nintendo 2ds for $200,11 new books to read at bedtime for $100, and a magic set and chess game for $20. That really isn't a whole lot of stuff, but it all cost a whole lot of money... over $500. My mom got him a stuffy, one game for nintendo ds, and a outdoor sports game. He is going to be six in two months, and everything gets more expensive the older he gets. I think spending a lot on Christmas is fine.
