Hi, would love to join this group :)

My name is Valerie, and my lifestyle change started back in January at 238lbs. I was 2 years postpartum and I knew the baby weight wasn't baby weight any more. I have to maintain a healthy bodyweight to keep my job (navy) so that is my first motivation along with staying healthy for my son and husband! I'm currently 204lbs and my goal is 185lbs. I know I'll get there eventually.
I have cut out most processed foods, candies, sodas, and junk food snacking. Ok so I have the occasional oreo cookies here and there but I know not to go overboard. I try and exercise at least 3 times a week minimum with about 1/2 hour cardio and also do weight training other days. The weight is coming off slowly but I know it won't snap back super quick either :)

Hi! I want to join too! (thanks for inviting me over!)

I'm Felicity, 29 and I started my lifestyle change February 1, 2011. I weighed in at 243, I've lost 65 pounds and am currently 178. I have two little girls and basically spent the past 2 years of my life pregnant with them lol so they were my biggest motivation. I was embarrassed and didn't want to be the "fat" mom. I had reached a point where I hated leaving my house and basically felt like I should apologize to anyone that had to even look at me. My husband has been on the journey with me, and he is my biggest supporter!

I have cut out all processed sugars, white flour and any enriched flour. I eat a lot of grains, and whole wheat, protein, fruits and veggies. I count my calories and stay under 1200 everyday, and I exercise 5-6 days a week. I have changed my routine a few times but right now I do my elliptical for 20 minutes and 20 minutes of Zumba for wii, I do crunches and lift weights everyday as well. I really love to help motivate others on their journey so hopefully we can all help eachother along!

I'll go ahead and join. My name is Jessica and I'm 30. My lifestyle change occurred about 10 or so years ago. We eat a lot of organic, fresh fruits and veggies, free range local meat, etc. I was very bad during my pregnancy with my son. I gained 60+ lbs & I craved what I loathe...junk & fast food.
I knew that after the birth I would have a lot of work to do to get back down, which I did. I eat right, stay active & try to stay on that path.
I do believe in eating properly the majority of the time. I don't restrict myself or my child when we want something outside of our normal eating habits.
I'm here if any of you ladies need some help or suggestions. I may need your support when the holiday festivities arrive, b/c that is my weakness!

Quoting Jeanine *:" * Sorry, Its kind of long <3 My name is Jeanine, I have one 15months old boy whom I LOVE dearly. ... [snip!] ... I want to show everyone and myself that a woman can look just as good post-pregnancy even if she doesn't look the exact same."

I love what you said mama! Our babies are worth every stretch mark or weight gain BUT we can be who we dream to be. Yes it takes hard work, but I think all of us mommies are Superwoman to begin with!

Quoting Ashlynn n Abigail's Mommy:" OKay Baby is down for a nap! my name is jessica turned 24 yesterday! and i weigh the most i ever have ... [snip!] ... its not much but when he works 6 days a week from 7 a/m to 6 p.m and im home with the kids by myself i cant do to much more.."

Hi love! You CAN do this. First set small goals! I have a coworker who I am coaching right now and she has the same issue. Her husband buys all this junk food and she is scared to even go into the kitchen. I told her out of site out of mind. If it is not in your house you cannot eat it. Try talking to Billy. I hope he supports you in your choice to be healthy, not only for you but to set s good example for your beautiful girls.

Let's start small:
Tell me what you normal day is as far as eating?
