And I disappeared for a few days lol Sorry. Thanks so much ladies! He is the sweetest man ever. My sons father got visitation taken away a year ago and now wants it back. He is the one who stopped seeing my son. It was a nightmare for 3 years and once he got his access taken away I felt a huge sigh of relief, now it is like it is starting all over again. I have court on Monday. He is only messing with his sons life. My son does not even ask about him and saw a pic of him and did not even say anything. He has no idea!!!! My Mom is back in the hospital. Not doing well at all. Very weak, can hardly walk, difficulty eating and has fluid in her lungs. Taking one day at a time and trying to stay positive.

So what is going on with you wonderful ladies?

Just realized this was my weekend menu:

Friday: Chipotle, Mexican take out for dinner
Saturday: Woke up at noon, bowl of cereal, sushi buffet for dinner
Sunday: Village Inn, Buffalo Wild Wings

Holy cow, I feel like a cow. I'm sooooo ready for a week of salads, fresh fruit, soups, and tofu.

Thanks! I'm kind of stuck in a plateau recently but I'm trying to remind myself that I also added in strength training. I wish I had taken measurements instead of just weight but I didn't think about it.

(this will be long, sorry :P)

So, I have been off track for quite some time and in the last week or two got back to it. I have lost 7 lbs in those two weeks with healthy diet and exercise and have been trying to get my husband back on board with me. he wanted nothing to do with it and refused to eat healthy or help me out by not bringing so much junk into the house. despite that, i have been doing pretty good.

Well my husband just started seeing a new doctor (had to switch due to insurance) so they did some lab work just so they had a baseline on file. they found that his triglyceride level was 818!! yes, you read that right, 8-1-8!! They should never be over 150 (for a healthy person). He is about 15lbs "overweight" for his height.

His doctor told him he needed to change his diet and exercise pattern or else he WOULD have a heart attack or stroke if he keeps going this way :( it is so scary to think about, but i am so happy they caught that. he eats horribly but doesn't gain weight so he sees no consequences in eating the way he enjoys to.

We have agreed that i will be doing the grocey shopping on my own now. he is very scared and wants to change his eating so bad but he is not ready to be tempted right now and he cannot walk through a store without buying $40+ in junk food. I am so happy that he is going to change and is being serious about though because i was so scared when i heard that number.

I should be having some lab work down next week (i had low potassium a month or so back, and I want to get that re-checked). I am going to let my doctor know about him because we do live in the same house and up until about 2 weeks ago i was eating basically what he was eating. I would just rather know if i had something going on as well.

This was just a post to let you guys know what is going on with me, and if you can send positive thoughts our way that for one my husband can make the changes that need to be made, and two that we can get his levels lowered. thank you ladies!! :D

Thanks for the update! I hope your hubby can get his levels down. My mom has been in the 900s before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not always something you can control with diet, so I wish you and him the best of luck.

yeah we did a lot of research on it last night and he has some other things going along with the high tri's and they can be indicative of a lot of other crap... so we are going to make an appointment and bring all of it up

OMG girl!! How scary BUT I know we talked about this. Size is just a number. Does not matter how big or small you are, there can be damage done if you eat horrible no matter what your weight. I am SO glad that he is going to make a lifestyle change. Who better than YOU to help him!!! :)

I try to tell my DH this ALL the time. He's one of those that can eat like crap and not gain anything, but his parents, who are also in shape, have terrible numbers and are on all kinds of meds. I can't get him to tell me what his numbers were, he said they were high and left it at that.

I hope your DH can get it in gear now that he knows and repair the damage that is already done!

I dunno wtf got into me but I've become addicted to the gym and clean eating. I only have one rest day a week. so this is what a lifestyle change is suppose to feel like..lol.
