Slip Ons VS Pull Ups I♡C&R. 2 kids; Thornton, CO, United States 25265 posts

Can anyone please tell me the difference between the two of these? Target has a sale going on where you buy two boxes of diapers/pull ups and then you get a $10 gift card, but I am stocked up on diapers until he's 2yrs, so I grabbed the Slip Ons figuring we can use them for potty training or just regular diapers (depending when he wants to potty train). Do they work just as well as Pull Ups for potty training?

Pull ups aren't very absorbent. The diapers are meant to be absorbent.
pull ups have some sort of something in them that lets the kid know they peed, like color changing or coolness.
and I hear the tabs are different.

I personally prefer the slip-ons. They are cheaper and you get more than the pull ups and they are wayyy more absorbant.

My twins will pee through a pull up in a heartbeat at night time.

Okay so if that's about it, we should be fine. He's not ready to potty train right now and I don't think he will for quite a while more, but I got these just encase so that if he decides he's ready, we can use these in the beginning for pting.

The slip-ons are ment for children who are not going in the potty, the pull-ups are ment for children who are, the pull-ups don't absorb as much. atleast I think this is the difference.

Thanks for all of this wonderful help :) I am so glad I grabbed the Slip Ons. I didn't know Slip Ons had more in the bag then Pull Ups, but that's even better!!

Pull UPs really aren't that great for potty training anyways. They just have a design on the front that disapears when they pee (the cool feel ones I never see anywhere). But like everybody else said slip ons will absorb more. We just bought some b/c we were using pull ups b/c he takes his diapers off and he can now take off a pull up but he doesn't do it like he does diapers and the slip ons are basically like night time pull ups but they hold more. And Ryan would pee through a pull up in no time.

They'll be great for potty training, then. Thanks :)
