my belly button skin is going to rip! M♥rgan 2 kids; Michigan 3592 posts

I only 20 1/2 weeks and my poor belly button is already sticking out so much and the skin above it is SO stretched, when I touch it its so gross, my boyfriend cringes and freaks out. I've had it pierced twice before, once after Halen was born, and now I kinda regret getting it repierced because the skin is just stretching so much it really feels like the skin is going to literally rip. I don't know how I'm going to make it to 39 weeks. Oh god my poor tummy. Its stretching so much. Should I start massaging the skin above my belly button, well that help?

I massage the skin on my belly every time I lotion up, I couldn't tell you how much it helps since I've done this from the beginning but I'll be 19 weeks friday and carrying twins and still have a piercing in belly button and I don't really get pains often there. I'll occasionally get some above my belly button, but nothing to bad I figure that's probably more of things or them adjusting in there.

I took out my belly button ring right when I found out I was pregnant with this baby, because I left it in for a few months with my first son and it left a scar from where the ring was. But I know a lot of people that leave it in and are fine, just not me. I have a really short torso, so it stretches so much when Im pregnant, ugh it sucks.

Had my gallbladder out in 2007, so I have a scar right on the top of my belly button, when pregnant with DD in '08, I was freaked cuz it was still healing, but it just stretched and kept going, I lotioned up plenty, this time the baby is right behind my belly button all the time so I feel extra stretched already at 26 weeks, I use lots of lotion, that scar is wicked itchy!

I bought one of the pregnancy rings so I wouldn't have to worry about the shortness of the other ring, I kept that ring in for awhile till the top ball popped itself off one night when I was in the tub so I figured I'd take that chance then to just go ahead and change it and not have to worry about it anymore. I've also got a short torso, maybe make sure you lotion up the skin of your belly button? Could is possibly just be the skin getting irritated from the stretching without the use of lotion?
