I ve heard that cloth diapered babys potty train earlier is that true? what were the ages your cloth diapered babys were trained? my baby is 18 months and its going on 5 days no accidents. so potty training is going good

Lets see, in the 1950s (before widespread use of disposible diapers) 92% of children were potty trained by 18 months.




Now it's less the 10% by 18 months and the average age is 30 months.

wow I didnt know the numbers dropped that much I guess thats what it is then cause we have cloth diapered since birth.. and all my friends that disposible diaper have kids that are 2 3 or 4 still in diapers i didnt put two and two together until I heard that and my mom said that all her kids were done before 2 and we were all cloth diapered.

Dang maybe I should switch back to cloth. I was trying to sell the rest of my diapers I don't use because I figured he would be PT'd soon.

Cloth diapers aren't comfortable or the child wouldn't wanna pt so soon. I feel sorry for babies sitting in wet cloth because they can feel wet and I would HATE to feel wet. So what if you buy diapers until LO is 2.5 or 3yrs if they're comfortable. Just my personal opinion though.

I didnt force her to train then she just did and I would noot want those gross chemicals on my baby.. and she has never gotten a rash since we switched you would think if they bugged her she would be getting rashs all the time!
