I will be 21 weeks on Sunday, but for the past few days my pubic bone is feeling like its splitting in half!

Everytime I stand up at work, I have to try not to walk funny because it hurts so much :(

I remember having some pubic bone pain at the end of my last pregnancy... but ALREADY?! What am I in for come Chrismas time :? I'm afraid it is only going to get worse. Any one have this and have it go away instead of get worse?

TIA :)

I a having similar pain and I will be 20 weeks on monday. It has got a little better, but from what I understand it's just the way the 2nd pregnancy goes. Your body goes through the changes faster because it's rehearsed so to speak. Just getting ready for the baby which I know doesn't help. With every little pain I had with my first I was in the ER because I didn't know what was going on. I found with this one keeping very informed about everything that is supposed to be going on has helped me deal with pregnancy related pain and symptoms. Like had I had bloody noses with my first one I would have freaked out and ran to the ER, now I know that it's just one of the joys because I read everything I can find associated with every week of my pregnancy. Not saying you don't or need to I'm just explaining my experience with the symptoms and I am a rambler sorry lol.

This is my second pregnancy, im 30 weeks, and around 20 weeks is when the pelvic pain started too. every type of pain started earlier this time. i still have the pain, but it doesnt seem to bother me as much, maybe its not as bad, or maybe i have just started getting used to it/ tolerate it better.

It's called PGP pelvic gurdle pain, formerly known as SPD syphysis pubis dysfunction.

It can be treated through physically manipulating the bones back into position and doing exercises that hold you all together again.

I was given the standard crappy tips and exercises, a support belt and crutches. Sadly without the bones being put back into place, it changed the way i walked to reduce the pain. And then caused my whole body to become out of alignment. That was 2.5 years ago when i was 13 weeks pregnant. I still use crutches and a wheelchair sometimes because of it now. So get it treated!! A chiropracter or osteopath or obstetric/sports physiotherapist can do it.

i have had AWFUL pubic bone pain. the only way i can describe it to my husband is, like i fell foward on a peddle bike and got the bar right on my bone...it f**king hurts... its not tooo bad if i take it easy during the day but any kind of extra walking (grocery store, mall ect) it KILLS. i still try to stay active but dang that shit hurtsss... a heating pad helps a bit and at night (thats when its the worst for me) i take one extra strength tyl. my midwife said i could take two if i wanted.

It's not just another pregnancy pain, you don't need to put up with it and you CAN get it fixed. Get it sorted so you don't end up unable to walk at all, it is really tough having a newbie/toddler and being unable to walk!

It feels like an adult is standing on my pubic bone. I will ask at my next appt. Even when I am sitting it hurts.

:( I used to feel like someone had wacked me betweent the legs with a hammer, i've heard of others explaining it like a horse has kicked their vag :(

It didn't use to hurt me when i was sitting, but eventually it affected by whole pelvis and fucked my tail bone up. I still feel like i need to sit on a cushion because the bone hurts so much. I wish i had found that website when it first happened to me and then i could've avoid all this. Now i have to go in to get injections of steriods into my f**king pubic bone  because it's all inflammed. i wince at the mere thought of it

Right, but this isn't round ligament pain.

True, I even had surgery to remove my right ovary last December, and they had to suture my ligament on the side back together (they removed a tumor too) and THAT pain from the stretching is waay less bad
