Or would it make em' all mushy?

cos' we have fruit flies :( and last time I bought bananas it was like a fruit fly breeding ground! So we just tossed em' out, even though they weren't even ripe yet :(

On another note.. how the hell do you get rid of fruit flies? :(

Put an open glass of white wine on your counter and they'll drown themselves in it. If you're morally opposed to wasting wine (), get several cups, put some apple cider vinegar in it and a drop of dish soap and fill it with water. Poke very small holes in plastic wrap stretched over the tops. The flies can get in and not out and will get caught in the bubbles from the soap and drown.

I put bananas in the fridge all the time. They turn brown on the outside faster, but they are fine on the inside.

check out this page. - http://www.diylife.com/2011/07/18/how-to-get-rid-of-fruit-flies/

also, check your cabinets and little spaces, if a potato managed to fall out of the bag and is laying around somewhere the damn things wont leave until you find it and toss it out!

put vinegar in it, and they fruit flies will fly in, but not be able to find the hole to fly back out.

Gahh so annoying! I've been trying to get rid of these things for a month! I left bananas on the counter while I was on vacation for 12 days :< Most of them are gone but I still see one or two flying around every once in a while.
