Has anyone ever been presribed Narco while pregnant for pain? My OB precribed me Narco for the pains I was having. I was told they are okay to take. That my Doc. wouldnt precribe me something he thought would do harm to the baby... But I was just wondering if anyone else took Narco while being preg.??

Norco is vicodin. It's OK to take while pregnant.. but I can't imagine an OB prescribing Vicodin for just aches and pains. What's going on?

Yep, it's okay. I took it for my strep throat. They were like tylenol 3 except a little stronger.

I was prescribed them for pain. Im small framed 5'2 and carrying a larger baby. So my OB says. Ive been having extreamly bad pain pretty much from the begining. I started to have real contraction early on in my preg. as well. Its been hard to move walk ect. So he gave me Narco and told me to take them .sparingly . I was shocked when I found out what he was giving me. I was taking tylenol almost every day. The aout I was taking wasnt safe for either me or baby. So they didnt want me taking Tylenol the way I was. So if I was having a bad day they said just to take the Narco.. But days where its not as bad Tylenol.

i'm 5'2". lol Well, that is nice that he did that. Just use them sparingly. Is the baby always sitting on your sciatic nerve?

Oh yes!!! This little guy Seems to LOVE my Sciatic Nerve!!!! It hurts sooo bad.. Hes just lucky I know hes worth all of the pain!!! I havent really taken them. I had a horrible tooth ache. I mean the worst ever, I woulda rathered all the pain from being pregnant that that tooth pain. But I took a few of them around that time. It was the only thing that worked.

Im having extreamly bad back aches now... and It only seems to get better when Im standing up walking around. But if I lay down or sit down it hurts sooo bad. I just cant take it anymore :(

Norco is just lolrtab with less tylenol in it. Exp Before I got preg I was taking loratb 10 that had 500 mg of tylenol; in it because I have bad back issues and after I got pregnant they just switched me to Norco Which is still 10 mg of the lortab but only 325 mg of tylenol. Too much tylenol is bad for you and baby but the lortab/hydrocodone is safe.

I was having extremely bad pelvic pain, and was diagnosed with pelvic diastasis (sp?) My pain was so bad that my OB put me on Vicodin to take at night time, and during the day I could take one, but only if the pain was unbearable. Vicodin is the same thing, and its safe, just as long as you use it sparingly and never take more than directed. Hope it helps you!

I'm going to suggest something and it might seem a little strange but you should go to the chiropractor. They have adjustments for pregnant woman that help with the pain and relieve pressure off the sciatic nerve. Plus it's good for birth because it will align your hips and maybe even help with baby's position. Plus you just feel so much better walking out of there. If you are in as much pain as you are in, this could really help you out till d-day.

Shit I wish I had your doctor, I was in car accident and bit by a dog while pregnant. The ER and my OB gave me nothing but tylenol.
