AMBER ALERT: 10 month-old Kansas City Girl, Lisa Irwin, Vanishes From Crib
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police say someone entered a Kansas City house early Tuesday morning, October 4, 2011 and took a 10-month old baby. Lisa Irwin was in her crib at the time. The FBI has joined the search.
Lisa is white, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She weighes thirty pounds and is about thirty inches long. She has two bottom teeth, a small bug bite under her left ear and a birthmark on her right outer thigh. She also has a cold and has been coughing. At the time she was taken, police say Lisa was wearing purple shorts and a purple shirt with kittens on it.
Officers say Lisa Irwin was last seen at 10:30 Monday night. Her mother put her down to sleep, and then when Lisa's father arrived home from work at 4:00 a.m., he noticed she was missing. Officers were called to the house immediately. Officers say it looks like someone came into the house through a bedroom window. "They saw the window and the screen appeared that it was tampered with," Officer Darin Snapp, public information officer for the Kansas City Police, told ABCNews.com.
"We are conducting an area canvas, knocking on doors and talking to anyone that was in the area that night," Snapp said. Canines are searching a wooded area behind the family's house.
"We are interviewing family and friends just to eliminate everyone's that close to the family as suspects," Snapp said. They also need help finding the girl. "We have no eyewitnesses and a six-hour time frame when the child could have been abducted," Snapp said. "We need any help at all."
"We are pleading that if anyone saw anything, to contact us," Snapp said. "It might be that small piece [of information] that puts everything together."

That makes me so sad. :( People are horrible. I can't even imagine what those parents must be going through.
so sad...people these days are so crazy
I hope they find her :(
It's so sad.... people in this world are horrible.
doesnt sound like a "crime of oppertunity" to me... you dont just take your dog for a walk, notice a window open a swipe a baby... someone must have known a baby lived there, and known the parents leave her window open at night.
so sad though. i love living in a high security building and never having that worry.

I've already decided to put those alarms on the windows of all the windows when they open....sigh..makes you scared to be in your own house these days..
Thank goodness we live in second floor and our son has a lock on his window. It makes me scared to leave it open in the night for fresh air though. Thankfully, we're safer in an apartment than we would be in a house since their are people all around us.
That child and her parents are in my prayers and I hope the little girl is found. I don't know what a person would want with a poor little girl and to make the parents so worried :( How horrible.
This made me cry. I have a 10 month old and the thought of someone taking him during the night makes me shiver. I am praying so hard for that family and that little chunky baby.
That's very sad :(
....but 30 pounds at 10 months?

Honestly, I thought the same thing...
Hopefully they find the baby soon! :(
Quoting Mommy of one~!:" Honestly, I thought the same thing..."
I was wondering as well, ha!
Any news on this little one? I've been watching reports, but haven't seen any updated information...
