Approx how many yards do i need to make a tutu dress for a 7 year old?

I would say maybe 3-5 yards. It depends on how full you want the skirt to look, how long you want it to be, and if you are using one color or two (how many yards of each color you'll use)

It also depends on how you make it. I just make it where I layered 2-3 strips (strips i make about an inch wide and double the length of what you want it to be.) deep then I use a piece of ribbon that matches the tool color or about the same color. Cut the ribbon to about twice the waist size of your daughter. Then I do a loop method where I fold the strips in half and loop the tool strips around the ribbon so what used to be 2-3 strips deep is now 4-6 strips deep and the length you need it. I hope I explained that so it wasnt confusing.

Tutu or tutu dress? I just finished an order for a size 6 tutu and it took about 75 yards of tulle

Thanks ladies. I started making it with 8 yards, i still need to go buy atleast another 7-8 yards.
