My OB called me this morning saying my Medicaid number isn't working. I needed it to work for Monday for my 16 week apt and my anatomy scan. So I called. It somehow got cancelled. So I have to reapply for pregnancy Medicaid. It can take up to 45 days to get a new number.

I miss Tricare. The only reason I miss the army life. Ugh!!!!

If you have it for pregnancy how long did it really take to get it? Will it really e 45 days?

They have up to 45 days to process but usually they will get you in and start processing within the same week, but they just say 45 days because thats the time they are granted

It can take up to 3 months here. I know people who it didn't take long for and I know people who it did, just depends on how fast they want to get to your case

i know that when i reapplied they just gave me my old number back and it didnt take 45 days...but i know that medicaid will back date to the day that you applied so they should still cover your drs appt when they reactivate it...

Here in Missouri when you apply and get approved they will cover any doctor bills from three months back - obviously only ones that are covered for medicaid. Ask about that. If it's the case, I would still go. If they have a 45 day grace period then you should be good. BUT, do you think will you be approved this time around? Nothing changed since you applied the first time???

She didn't say

I honestly hate this office. She did assure me they backdate 90 days for pregnancy so all of my other visits will be covered.

I just don't want to have to wait 45 days to get seen again. Anything can go wrong in that time frame

Thats crazy, in Missouri once you are approved for a pregnancy they cannot cancel it at all throughout your pregnancy regardless.

Well, will your doctors office not see you because of it? If they will still see you, then go!

Then you should be good, I would assume. That's stupid that they are able to cancel it!
