Is a faint positive line normal? I am worried!! Kelsiii Leigh Due July 16 (boy); New Jersey 13 posts

Okay so fourteen (well about that) days after ovulation I took a pregnancy test. I didn't take it in the morning and it was a VERY faint positive. and then two days later I took another one and it was a little bit darker and clearly there, but not really dark. Is that normal and is everything okay?? I am very worried, and so paranoid. This would be my first baby, I should be about four weeks and three days---- so it this normal?

Pretty normal. My positives have been pretty faint.

yep that's normal. Those tests aren't designed to tell you HOW pregnant you are, just that you are, so any line is fine. Also the amount of dye in each test will vary. I had a faint line when I retested just for fun at about 12 weeks pregnant so ya, the faint line is fine. Congrats!

that's fine, as long as there is a positive line your fine =]
just means you dont have loads of the hormone
my friends was really light the doctor could hardly see it and was like oh wait! its positive!
and she has a healthy little boy so no worries!! =] xxx

Thank you!! I have been so worried because when I look it up online so many sites say that it could mean im not producing enough of that hormone, which could mean miscarriage. I guess I'm just really scared and nervous. I made my doctors appointment I am really excited!!!! Thanks again!

Yeap, mine was super faint at 5 weeks, If your worried go get bloods and they will check that your HCG level is normal for how far you are

With both my boys, the lines were really faint. I definitely have 2 rambunctious kiddos now, lol. It's normal.

I was always told to test first thing in the morning. I guess cu of the hormone level on ur pee or something? Idk its been a few years lol. But i know they said the line should show way darker if u do that so that could be why it was so faint the timest time.

i took 7 home pregnancy tests because i was suffering with water infections & missed my period, but they all came up negative. i knew for a fact that i was so i went to the doctors and had one there, which there was a very faint positive, she said aslong as theres a line on the positive part then your pregnant! congrats :) xx

it's pretty normal to have faint line cause maybe the hcg lvl in the urine is still very low.. i had a faint line for my son.. and very very very faint line for the current pregnancy.. it's barely visible.. i took a blood test to confirmed my pregnancy because i went to the dr too early i guess.. around 6 weeks and he can't find anything in my uterus with u/s.. so i took the blood test and hcg at that time was around 897. went back again 2 weeks later and we get to see the little 1 inside with heartbeat ^^

My doctor said you cant get a false positive but you can get a false negative. So basically you are pregnant. Congratulations :) xx

Mine was very faint at home and at the doctor. I am now 27 weeks, so don't worry about it.

Mine did the same. It was so faint, I didn't even want to tell people I might be pregnant. I went out and bought one of the ones that said 'Pregnant/Not Pregnant' just to feel better about it! They both said pregnant, lol!

Grats on the new pregnancy ;) You more than likely aren't miscarrying. It takes some of us a lot longer to produce enough hormone. I wonder if I peed on a stick now if the whole thing would just turn pink, lol!
