How to (nicely) get rid of unwanted house guests?? susanesque 2 kids; Georgia 8425 posts

DH is off work all week for thanksgiving and one of his friends has been here since friday. All he does is sit in the living room playing on the xbox or sleeping on the couch and eating our food. :? I honestly don't mind him coming over for one day every once in a while, but it would be really nice if he acknowledged that we might like some family time while DH is off work.

How can I tell him to fuck off without being mean? My brother actually just came in here and asked me if they were ever going to leave as well. (We live with my him)

Its your dh's friend so I would ever so politely tell dh to get rid of his friend or Im getting rid of both of you :)

Seriously though, dh should do it. Its his friend.

come up with some kind of excuse for needing him to leave...like family members flying in needing some where to crash or something.

At 6am, when he's straight passed out on the couch, tip it over and throw him off. When he freaks out, tell him that you're going to do that every day until he GTFO.

Tell your husband exactly what you told us. Make him be the bad guy.

Tell him you're having a horrible herpes outbreak and you don't want him around it for risk or infection

Tell DH you'll give him the most awesome blow job ever if he tells his friend to go home

Tell DH to get rid of him...and if he doesn't just have your brother get rid of him. Sounds like your brother is getting annoyed with him being there so I'm sure he'd love to get rid of him for you.

I have this problem when DH's best friend comes over. I seriously refer to the guy as DH's first wife. He calls DH EVERYDAY on his way home from work. I normally wouldn't care but he always calls when DH is sleeping (he works nights) and expects me to wake DH up just so he has someone to talk to. He lives 2 hours away and came down last weekend. He spent all of Saturday with DH and then on Sunday when I was ready for some family time, he calls DH to go pick him up so he could spend the day with him. This is also the same guy that basically lived at my house rent free for 6 months and just crashed on my couch. I would tell your DH to tell his friend its time to go home!

haha, thanks ladies! :D

Ugh, what bugs me the most is that I had planned to start LO's potty training this week while DH is off work and I have help, but I haven't even bothered. I figured all of the distraction and the extra eyes would make her nervous. :?

That stinks. Tell him to get his friend out of there. I'd throw a fit if my SO's friend stayed that long. Unless he;s visiting from out of town he can go home. What is this college?
