i called poison control and they told me that she should be fine just to flush her eye out with lots of water...i did that...I held her head over the sink and poured water in it several times (which was hard) I wiped it with a wet cloth...and now its swollen and puffy and she keeps holding her eye and crying. :( Is there anything else I can do to get the stuff out of her eye?

btw she is 2...she got into DH's cologne that he forgot to put back in the cabinet this morning...any help would be appreciated.

If you've been rinsing her eye out a lot, then the cologne is probably all out, but it's irritated the eye and it'll take some time for it to be normal again. It sucks, but it'll definitely take a little while.

thanks :( I hope it passes quickly...I feel terrible..we are always so good about putting that stuff out of reach and she walked upstairs (i thought to her room) while I was basting the turkey and then she screams something horrible. I feel so bad for her :(

we just moved into a new house, which i cleaned from ceiling to floor(yes i said it backwards because youre supposed to clean top down not down up lol anyway pointless)
while i was cleaning the kitchen my son picked up a bottle of lysol with bleach and sprayed a huge squirt directly into his mouth and then started choking on it....i gave him some juice and he was fine. also, when he was a baby he knocked over a bottle of bleach and it started leaking and he got it on his hands and started licking it off....he's such a weirdo
anyway my point is i think things like that only hurt in large amounts.

im sure it stings but imagine if you got cologne in your eye
i'm sure she'll be fine :-)

I feel your pain! Peyton is going to make me have to put poison control on speed dial...not even kidding. Billy has yet to put the cabinet locks on and she got a bottle of cleaner and drank some...had to call poison control...then a month ago glued her eye half shut with super glue that was up high on a counter! How she got it I will never know!

Yeah, she is just to damn curious for our own good! The glue was way worse than the cleaner. I was flipping out.

Told us to put her in the tub and keep it wet for 15 mins then just let time do it's job.
