I hate when people are so judgmental against young moms. I always year "you're way too young" "you are throwing your life away" "your selfish for having a child so young"
But look. I have an apartment with my fiance, we make all our bills on time, we own a car, we both work, my daughter has everything she needs, we don't drink or do drugs and we are both happy. I love my life with my brand new baby.
I just wish some people, before they assume I am miserable and selfish because I had a baby so young, would stop and think about where I am at in life. I chose to have my baby, and I wouldn't change anything for the world.
I'm not selfish, I make sure her needs are met before mine. She will ALWAYS be well taken care of.
Sure, I could have waited until I was "more stable" but shit happens, and I feel like I'm in a good position to be raising her.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. :)

Family, people I work with, etc. Alot of them are very judgmental.

Who cares? Judgement is everywhere, in every stage of life. Brush it off and move on. You know who you are.

I heard it all, too.
I was 17 when I got pregnant, 18 when I had him. I STILL get stares & I'm 22 now with a 4 year old. Even when I go buy pregnancy tests people look at me like "OMG..............." sorry, I'm married! I'm allowed to have more babies :)

People are judgemental hags. Just try to shrug them off of your shoulder. I know it's easier said than done sometimes. I used to get soooo peeved from the stares!

Not one person has ever brought that up? The place I work at, I had people who ask me why I had a baby so young, instead of enjoying my "teenage years"

A couple have, but I didn't let it bother me. I let them think what they want & focus on my son and school.

For the most part I can just brush it off, but its nice to just vent every once in a while. I love being a mom, and could care less of what other people think because I know I'm a good mom, but it still gets to me every once in a while.

You should reply: Things turned out differently than what I had planned. Regardless, I'm happy with my life.

People will always be concerned about teen pregnancy, because it is a concerning subject.

I tell them I'm happy and wouldn't change a thing.
but I feel like its really none of their business anyway, so why do the feel the need to comment in the first place.

I was 20 when I gave birth to my son. I got the "You're too young for a baby" almost everywhere I went. I would always reply: :"Yeah, I know I'm too young and it's a little difficult, but my son is my heart and I wouldn't change it for the world."

forget them... they want us to have the typical teenage life... and some of us just dont want that...i am married... and people say im too young to get married... i mean if you are following what they think is the ideal life... then your always gunna be TOO young and "you have your whole life ahead of you" O-o..... just do whats best for you your Fiance and your baby... thats the part you are responsible for... nothing else.
