Did your babys movements start to slow down around 30 or so weeks? My baby has gotten less & less active this past week. In a whole day I'd say I probably only get 10-20 movements, she used to move so much it was getting annoying but now im getting a little worried :/ I've gone to triage once before when her fetal movements were slowing down but turned out she was ok. Her movements are no longer kicks and punches their more along the lines of strong pushing and stretching. Should I worry?

As long as she's moving for your kick counts, I'd say no. She may be positioned different and around this time they start running out of room to move as much. But always ask your OB and be on the safe side.

They tend to get more cramped in there the bigger they get, but if your worried then I would talk to your dr about it!!!

Its kinda hard to do kick counts cause I gotta wait until shes most active & her movements are becoming less & farther apart. I hope shes just facing the other way or something. I will be asking my OB on our next appt which is in 3 days, im anticipating it!

I was hoping that was just it, shes just getting too big to move about. Hopefully thats the case. I'm going to talk to my OB about it in three days.

as your baby grows the less room they have so yes its normal...my doctor told me to lay on my left side for an hour and count how many times the baby kicks, if its less then four get up eat something and lay back down on your right side for an hour and if the baby doesnt move more than four times then call your doctors but if the baby moves four times or more then you shouldnt worry

Haha I think she might be too, she was mellow most of the pregnancy then got active and now not so much so thats what worried me. I didnt have any pregnancy symptoms as well so lets hope shes just a super mellow baby :)

I've tried the laying on the left side thing but doesnt work much for me. Shes most active when Im on my back (not flat). I'll try kick counts again today hopefully I'll get the needed amount. My OB told me to count 10 movements if its less then to go to triage.

i was told it was normal for them to start moving around less about 30 weeks because they are getting cramped in there & have less room to move. although i havent experienced this yet, she doesnt move less, its just harder punches. lol.

My OB doesnt discuss much about how the baby should be doing so I guess thats why I get worried too. Haha she went from kicking & punching to hard punches & kicks. Now their like weird super strong pushing and stretching, sometimes it kinda hurts in an uncomfortable way.

I am 30Weeks and my baby has stopped moving mroe now to. I get the whole stretching and stuff to, i'm sure as long as babe is doing that and movin little, there shouldnt be anything to worry bout unless there is NO movement!

The reason you're not feeling kicks, and punches anymore is simply because your baby has run out of room. She is all cooped up in there, so that is perfectly normal. It's harder for her to stretch out and kick, being she has gotten so big and is so cramped up. If you are feeling her move 10-20 times a day, you have nothing to worry about! :))
