What to do with old receiving blankets? Mother of Broccoli. 1 child; California 12595 posts

Everyone told me I'd need a ton of receiving blankets and I've used one. Brooklyn has always been too big to swaddle in them, it's not like it's freezing here and I have tons of regular sized blankets for her if she needs to be covered up.
So back to my question...what can I do to put them to good use? I don't want to make a quilt with them, and most of them are really mismatched anyways so it would be a weird looking quilt.
I know that as soon as I get rid of them I'll find a use for them. I've looked on pinterest with no luck.

Help me :D

Cleaning rags, or donate them to an animal shelter, they always need blankets and stuff.

Rags. They can be used for any kind of cleaning you can think of.
