Okay solast night I had chinese for dinner and within 20 min, i had the worst stomachache I have ever had in my life. I am nervous and worried now that something wrong may be going on. I went to bed early because I couldn't get the pain to go away, and this morning I still have a pain in my stomach. Has anyone had anything similar to this at all? My boyfriend says that he thinks it could just be constipation but I have never felt something like that before.

It sounds like gas. Try taking a coupleof tums and walking around for a while. That usually helps me, that and learning which foods to avoid.

I know now to completely avoid chinese food. Can gas pains really hurt that bad?

It could be constipation, or it could also be a sensitivity to something in the food. It is extremely common for women to develop food sensitivities while pregnant. If the pain doesn't go away, I would go ahead and give your dr a call just to be sure, but as long as you aren't having any bleeding with the pain it should be okay. If it is a sensitivity that is causing the pain, it will go away on it's own, and usually the sensitivity doesn't last after you give birth. You can also try taking a stool softener or drinking some apple or prune juice to try to move things along if it is constipation. Constipation pain (and that from the gas that comes with it) are not fun and can (at least for me) rival contractions.

Yes, gas pain can hurt that bad. I learned rather quickly that anything with cucumbers in it will make me wish for death. Bad heartburn, gas, and doubling over in pain. I went to the doc and I felt like an idiot cuz it was just gas and heartburn brought on by lunch.

if the tums and juices don't work, you can try one of the medicines for heartburn/indigestion/stomach ache that is on your pregnancy safe list. My doctors told me to use mylanta but some people don't think mylanta is safe so don't use it without your doctors permission.

The pain was pretty much all over my stomach. It was about a 9 last night, but today its around a 5 or 6. I had subsided alot. I was able to use the restroom this morning and that helped too, but i'm still a little freaked out especially since I had a miscarriage in December.
