Quoting LPH♥:" I absolutely love it on a boy. It doesn't sound feminine to me at all and I find it mind boggling that ... [snip!] ... girls lol. I can understand names like Ashley or Kelsey but this new trend of using names on girls that end in son is so odd. "

I agree. I feel like people think that just because they name a girl that, it's automatically unisex. NOT the case. Names like Whitney, Ashley, Kelsey, have become more feminine, but they sound feminine, your right. I would like to see someone name their daughter Steven or Michael and see if that trend sticks, lol.

Quoting ♥ Hailey. ♥:" I wouldn't. Everyone is naming their baby girls addison now. And if I heard it I would think it was a girl. My daughter's name is Aubrey though and it is originally a boy name."

We're thinking of Aubrey for this one if it's a girl. And the funny thing is, we got it from a dude named that! haha.

I've never looked into names before, never thought about it. Haha. Until this pregnancy, I've never looked into origins of names or if they're masculine or feminine, now I see a lot of names I thought were one sex are really the other sex! It's weird lol.

I LOVE the name Addison (Adison). We named one our twin boys Adison and it is a very masculine name ("Son of Adam"). I cannot for the life of me ever understand how a parent could use the name for a girl!! He is now 15 years old and I had never met an Adison before him. He loves his name - - it's who he is. A track/field, hockey playing guy - - and gorgeous to boot!!!

Quoting Nova and Nessa's Momma!:" Thoughts? My friend has switched from Aiden to Addison Taylor Scott for her son's name. I personally ... [snip!] ... to call her Addiebug, she was my angel :) What do you ladies think, would you name your son Addison, or is it a girl's name?"

Sounds too girly to me.

Addison is a boys name. I named my son Addison it means "son of Adam" not daughter of adam. It fit perfect with our family cause his daddy/my husband is adam. When all these lil girls named addison grow up and decide to look up what thwre name means there going to ask there parents why did they name them a boys name.
