I'm 36 weeks and my little girl has really slowed down in her moving she barely moves at all, yesterday I was monitored at the hospital for her movements but she moved a bit so I went home, today again she only moved this morning a little and since then nothing even when I drink icy water and ice and lie down nothing, anyone else 36 weeks and bub not moving much?

Very normal! She's getting bigger and less room to move. :) Dont worry. As long as you feel here every once in awhile through out the day she's fine. I think the average is about 10 movements or so per hour. But some baby's give or take.

Yea its a pain. I have 2 boys ages 6 and 4 and I start my bi-weekly NST's next week. Might as well just move into labor and delivery! lol Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

I had it with my daughter she barely moved, my doctor said it was her getting ready for her trip thru the birth canal. at 37weeks she stopped all together, well so i thought she was pressing on a nerve and it caused me to loose feeling of her and below the waist which freaked me out cuz I couldnt feel her move at all til I pushed her out.

I noticed that around 34 weeks. I guess she is running out if room. I have been on a non stress test every week sice week 34 bc im high risk. Today they put me on a stress test. She wanted me to get pitocin to get 3 contractions in 10 minutes or tge n****e stimulation test. I chose not to take pitocin. It makes me nervous when they do the tests bc they act like something is wrong but its in the morning and she is asleep in my opinion. They give me a soda and food ir candy then she is active. Then they send me home. Kinda scary but the baby just slows down after awhile.

The non stress test is just monitoring u while u sit there. The stress test is meant to cause stress like contractions to test the baby's heart rate. I was having contractions on the non stress test and one of them her heart rate dropped after one. They wanted to stimulate contractions to test to see if my placenta was giving her enough oxygen and because she wasnt active when i first came in.

I drank water a soda and ate cookies. She was moving like crazy after that. They just said her heart rate was great. They just wanted to b sure nut it did make me nervous. They said if she had a low heart rate they would have went ahead and induced me. I never really knew anyone who had any of those tests before but better safe than sorry.

Y are u considered high risk if u dont mind me asking? Im not on bed rest i just had my son at 21 wks and 6 days due to an undetected uti. My doc is very conservative and had me on progesterone for 12 wks. Doc visits every 3 wks til i was 32 eks rhen every week then stess tests since 34. I guess he is being cautious but it does worry me but i know he is only looking out for my babys health.

With my daughter I had cervical cancer and was told I could never go full term which is why Ive lost 4 pregnancies. I also almost lost her and my life at 17weeks due to massive infections eatting the amniotic fluid, and attacking my liver and kidneys, I started dialating and contracting around 20weeks and was put on bedrest til I gave birth.
With this one I have a brain tumor and was told I couldnt get pregnant at all and if I did the hormones would cause death in both of us. I have activly growing cyst on my ovaries that are as large as my baby, and been non stop bleeding this whole pregnancy and started contracting at 7weeks so I was put on bedrest.
I have had tons of stress and non stress test with my first pregnancy but never had n****e or pitocine.I was very stressed naturally with my first so, maybe thats why. I have to have TONS of blood work and sonos with this pregnancy.Ive had sooo many blood test and i.v's my arms are trashed I look like Im a "junkie" Ive had blood drawn from hand to upper arm even fingers, atleast it will be 4 weeks now til next blood work unless I end up in the hospital again.

Omg u are having a rough time. I am so sorry u went thru snd are going thru so much. Im glad u are blessed to have a healthy baby and one on the way.

Yea i never heard of it either and i want to deliver naturally so i said no to the pitocin. The n****e stimulation didnt even work. I am drinking less water at night due to acid reflux so as soon as i started drinking the water my contractions slowed down alot. They were very mild anyway bc i am 25% effaced i guesz i have 75% left and only 1 cm dilated.

I want to have a natural birth no pitocin if i can help it. They sent me home after about 3 hours.

try drinking more water durring the day and at night take a tums or a mint then sip on water if needed at night and then sip when first wake up, thats what I did with my daughter it helped my acid reflux some, and helped when I had braxtonhix...I also had to do it cuz closer I got to the end of my pregnancy I was becomming more and more dehydrated.Im sure you already realise avoide caffine or acidy drinks before bed, and even milk sometimes will trigger it.

I totally understand that I had same problem with my daughter. I use to take a mint before I fell asleep for some reason it did help so i didnt have that problem as much but I didnt discover that trick til the last couple weeks.
