Losing mucus plug at 28 weeks??? Lotusflower999 1 child; Maryland 621 posts

Last night and tonight I've had some brown discharge. It's not a whole lot, but could this be my mucus plug starting to come out? I know that it can be lost early on in the last trimester, but I'm not sure.

Even if it is, it grows back so there's no worry.

Yeah it's weird. With my daughter I never lost it but this pregnancy I started losing it at 14 weeks or so. Scared me to death but it does regenerate.

Yeah, I lost some of mine at 23 weeks and then some more at 28 weeks.

Yes it could be it.. I lost mine last week and called my Ob and they said it does NOT grow back. But you will be fine as along as you arent bleeding bright red blood, your water breaks or you start having contractions.

i ve read it can grow back too cuz your cervix doesnt stop producing it til after you have the baby all doctors are different in thier practices so everyone may not believe the same thing

I lost mine at 23 weeks and went to the hospital. They told me it regenerates. Which it did, because I started losing it again at 28 weeks. I'm 33 weeks now and still pregnant.
