This has happened to me a few times just out of the blue and I have no idea why it keeps happening. It only lasts a few seconds to a minute. Every time it happens I'm doing something different. Has anyone else had this and if so what caused it? I'm 33 weeks and 4 days. I have a doctor's appointment in a few hours so I'm gonna ask him about it but in the mean time I'm just curious.

That's what I'm afraid of but at all of my appointments my BP has been perfect, which I know can change but it still seems odd to me.

I never bothered to ask my OB (because I always forgot) but I get it often to. But I usually get extremely light headed when it does happen. Let me know what your OB tells you :) good luck

my next check up is Feb. 8, I'll be 35wks 1d.

I talked to my OB and he said that it is completely normal during pregnancy. Its nothing to worry about. I was stressing that I had high blood pressure but it's been normal during my entire pregnancy.

hmm. Could be you're not drinking enough water? I used to get a gallon of water a drink it everyday, and i was still dehydrated lol. As long as Doc says the baby's fine, I wouldn't stress about it to much.

How has your bp been at your checkups? If it's spiking, it could be the start of pre-e. Make sure you keep an eye on things and don't be afraid to let the ob know when something new pops up.

I had pre-e develop late my pregnancy and they missed it til I was in active labor. All because they didn't listen to me. :?

this happens to me every so often. usually when it does i havent had enough water and needed to eat something. when it happens i start to get sweaty too. i just sit down and sip some water and get something salty to eat. that usually helps me.

My BP has been great at all of my checkups and I've been trying to keep an eye on things like swelling that could signal pre-e. I really hope that isn't the case. And I have an appointment at 1:20 so in about an hour I'll be talking to him about it. Also, I've been drinking plenty of water (or at least I think I have lol) and I just ate not that long ago so I don't think that's it.

Not trying to scare you. I had perfect bp until late in the pregnancy, like 35 weeks or so. Then, it started to spike and go back to normal and my "normal" swelling turned into pitted edema (It was July). They kept telling me I was fine and it was all normal because I didn't have protein in my urine. It kept getting worse and I felt terrible. I almost went into seizures during delivery and had an extended hospital stay. The midwife and ob both apologized to me after I had my son. Better to bring it up now and make sure everything is fine. Hope all goes well at your appointment.

Thanks :) I hope all goes well too. And I hope it's not that but if it is I want them to do something about it now and not wait and let something bad happen.

I'm thinking it might just be where LO is laying. Like she might be pressing against a nerve or blood vessel or something. I'm heading to the doctor now so I'll let everyone know what he says when I get back :)

BP was perfect and doctor said it was a normal pregnancy thing since I didn't have any protein in my urine and my BP was normal :) I am however 1cm dilated (and I know I could stay that way for weeks) but he wants me to take it easy and if I start cramping or having braxton hicks to go in to the hospital but they won't stop it if I go into labor at this point.
