Appropriate vs Inappropriate TOUCHING? KNZ. 3 kids; Washington 59253 posts

Please do this seriously, any "BG-y" responses will be, looked over.
Anyways :D

The 2 opposing people we are saying are of the opposite sex.

Out of the people I list we will assume they (or hypothetical you) have the relationship of:
Teacher:Student
Buisnessman:Client
Boyfriend: Girlfriend

You get it .

From the list following, can you put them in two groupings of which would be appropriate and which would be inappropriate touching (according to you) in the following situation.

You are walking with your ________, and as you walk, they have their arm behind you with their hand placed on the small of your back.

Teacher
Car Salesman
Romantic Partner
Lawyer
Close friend
Grandparent
Physician

Feel free to include reasoning, but, you don't have to.

Appropriate:
Romantic Partner

Inappropriate:

Romantic partner, close friend or grandparent.

I consider my close friends family, and I think that that movement is only appropriate for family.

The only other time that would be remotely appropriate is if the combination was laywer or physician, and the person you are walking with is an older man, like 60's+, because, to the older generation, that is a sign of guidance and protection, which your lawyer and physician do, protect and help, so they may have that mindset. Beyond a few feet, however, I would become uncomfortable, but guiding through a door, I would totally understand.

teacher-inappropriate, not that I haven't fucked a prof or five.
Car Salesman- I'll be going somewhere else. Wait, is he hot?
Romantic Partner-in public, I still cringe a bit but appropriate generally.
Lawyer-maybe OK. Depends.
Close friend-again, depends on a lot.
Grandparent- fine
Physician- a little weird for me, but fine mostly

Appropriate would be romantic partner to me. Close friend would be appropriate if you were not in a relationship IMO. Grandparent or parent wouldn't be inappropriate.

I love professors.

At court today, my lawyer, who's probably in his 40s, walked with his arm around me and hand pressed against my lower back the entire time, even while walking next to Jason.
It was...unpleasant.

and note: even if i wanted to bang him/was doing that, i still wouldn't want him walking with me like that through a courthouse

Hmm. Maybe he felt like he was escorting you. If youre weirded by him in general it'd raise a red flag.

Otherwise? Not a big deal.

How do you feel about it?

I would've either moved away or told him how it made me feel.
