2 questions:

1) I have a really heavy flow and can't help questioning whether or not these will be able to hold it. Are the overnight as good as say, Always or Kotex overnights?

2) What do you do when you're out and need to change your pad?

Other than these concerns I am pretty interested!!

Great questions! :D

Yes! The overnights may actually out-do disposable pads! I had a customer place another order because the overnights she bought had too much absorbancy! Lol so she ordered more overnights with 3 layers of absorbancy, instead of 5. So you may be able to get away with the regular size? I could easily make some custom pads for you as well, if you'd like. I could add 1 more layer to the regulars or take away layers from the overnights.

When I am out, IF I need a change, I just carry a ziplock bag or a plastic pensil case, fold up the pad, and put it in the bag. When I ge home, I just put the pad in my laundry basket. I was my pads with my regular laundry. Some women choose to rinse the pads with cold water, then store in an old wipes container until wash day. Whatever works for you!

1. IMO, they're better and your period may lighten. I went from nasty, geavy, clotty periods to moderate ones and this is my first time using them! I feel much more comfortable and I don't worry about leaks. Idk if I'm imagining it or not but I don't notice a smell either.

2. I've never had to do this. I would say change it before you leave. I can easily wear the same pad most of the day without needing a change. At home I rinse them in the sink with very cold water and ring them out until the water runs clear, then wet it, fold it and keep it in a plastic bag in a cool place until time for washing. I make sure tobrinse again every day I don't wash them.

They really will lighten and sorten your period! I haven't found any sites stating this but - I have heard that disposable companies will put chemicals in their products to make you bleed heavier/longer, in turn, you have to buy more of their products! Makes sense to me! My flow is about a day shorter, and much lighter!

I've never had any leaks either! There is a waterproof layer of PUL, inside that keeps the fluids inside, and the super absorbant flannel on top of the PUL absorbs all the fluids nicely. I als use polyester thread so there is no wicking at the stitches.

OK I will need to talk to SO tonight to see if he will buy these for me. Would you be able to do 2 liners, 5 regulars, and 3 overnights?
Thanks :)

No problem! Just pick out which ones you want from the OP and let me know when you're ready. :) I don't have any Overnights made up, but I am making some later this week probably...
