If your doctor prescribed it, then take it. You can let the BV go untreated.

Also, there is no way to tell/prove that the other woman lost her baby due to the medicine.

I didn't, but I would trust my Dr.
I had to go to the ER while I was pregnant and it turned out I had a bad yeast infection and she gave me a pill (there). I got home and looked it up and it said on every website that it was very unsafe to take during pregnancy, so I panicked. I asked my Dr. and he said it was fine, and that it's hard for them to really rule whether something is safe on pregnant women or not because really, how are they gonna test it? No pregnant woman is gonna voluntarily risk her baby to find out about medicine right? If you trust your Dr and they're someone you're comfortable with I think I would just trust them and use it but that's just me.

Isn't it the same as Monistat but just the generic version?

I had the same problem around 24 weeks, and was worried just like you are. But I used it like prescribed(even though I was freaking out while using it) and everything got better and baby is fine. Definitely use it if the doctor prescribed it, because it clearly means you NEED it.

I'm the exact same way. My first. Terrified to even take anything on the "okay list of medications"
But trust me, the doctor gave it to you for a reason. If you leave it untreated it can cause a lot more problems.
I would sit there after I used it and like feel around and make sure he was still moving and such lol, cause like you, I read the directions and such on it and looked it up, but I promise you'll be fine.

My doctor prescribed it to me too. And I'm gonna be honest, I didn't use it for a week because I was sooo nervous! When I did decide to use it I didn't finish it...I wish I could help and give some real advice, but I'm right there with ya on this one.
