I have a call into the doctor, just waiting for them to call me back butttt.... has anyone experienced cramping (like menstrual cramps) around 20 weeks. It's not round ligament pain because the cramps are really low... it seriously feels like I'm going to get my period. It's kinda on and off too, which sorta worries me I guess. I'm trying to be optimistic, but has anyone experienced anything like this?
Since it's your first pregnancy it's normal to have cramping down there from your uterus expanding for the first time. Unless there is bleeding, you really don't need to be concerned.
No, but my doc has said that period like cramps can be contractions. I have had some BH, but they have been very mild - nothing like period cramps, so that is why we talked about it.
I sometimes get some cramps here and there, but they go away. Are they really intense? Are they in a pattern? Do you have any spotting or bleeding? It's good that you called your doc. Let us know what happens. Good luck!
Don't worry... I was feeling the exact same thing earlier today and I wondering if everything is OK. And then I remember that it is just round ligament pain

I got those pains as well starting around the 20th week of my pregnancy. They started moving into the left side of my hip (kind of following a bikini line). My doctor checked me out and said that it was just round ligament pain and that some women feel it more intensly than others. It was weird because they sometimes seemed to come on every 12 hours so it really confused me as to what was happening until my doctor explained it all.Hang in there and don't worry about it-it will start to go away. I di find that leaning over something (like the back of my couch) really helped to ease the cramping.
