When my daughter was born, i Breastfed. my 3rd day in the hospital i was changing her diaper, and found blood mixed in with poop. i was very concerned, they ran tests on it and said they couldn't find anything wrong, so they sent me to a G.I specialist. they then found out she was Allergic to the Protein in my Breast Milk :( i had to stop b.feeding her at a month old & switch to Similac Allimentium, because that formula breaks down the protein making it digestible for Babies allergic to Protein.

Has this happened to any of you ladies out there?!?!

i was so upset, i LOVED breastfeeding, it was easier than making a bottle, it didnt hurt. & it was a GREAT bond between the two of us <3

Well, it sucks but this is why they make formula. Good luck

I didn't have a baby allergic to protein, but I had to stop breastfeeding my first child when she was 4mnths old because they said that I didn't have any protein in my breastmilk anymore, and thus I was starving her.

Is she specifically allergic to your protein or the milk protein in general. My daughters had a milk protein allergy. U can breast feed if you get did of all the milk in your diet.

But the formula really does help. So at least she's feeling good
