I am asking this in the hopes that someone has had a similar experience and can tell me what their docs did. I am having horrible headaches they leave me holding my head and crying at the worst times and sensitive to light and noise anytime else. My doctors have tested me for Pre-E I have good blood pressure and no indicators of it they tested for protein in my urine and that came back fine. I have been placed on Fioracet (sp) and that does absolutely nothing except take the edge off for an hour or so. Now I am being put on Loratab. What I am wondering though is my doctor is only giving me 10 because he does not want me on it for any longer than that. If these headaches battle through the loratab or come back once I am off of it what will the next step be? I honestly do not feel like I can put up with them for another 4 weeks. I want her in me growing and getting bigger but I am not sure I can handle this pain for that long. If you have been through this or something similar what was your docs next step? TIA!

I suffered from horrible headaches with both of my pregnancies and was put on caffiene pills which worked wonders. You wouldn't think they would but boy did it help. I can't remember the name of them but maybe ask your dr about caffiene pills. I will have to see if I can think of the name or get a hold of it. I hope all gets better with you hun and i'm sorry you have to deal with this at the moment.

That is what the fioracet is I think generic name is butalb or something like that it is tylenol based with caffine and can have hydrocodine in it. They were helping and then saturday everything just got worse and they stopped helping except to relieve the edge for an hour or so. Thank you though...

I'm sorry mama!! Have they said what they're going to do if the loratab doesn't help?

No I didn't even get the opportunity to ask because he didn't realize I was already on Fioracet and I didn't either because I have the generic version so he had to call in the Loratabs for me. And the verdict on those is that they aren't working either they took the edge off for a little bit but then they wore off about an hour and half after taking it I don't know what the next step is but this all sucks :(
