My husband and I are having trouble with names... I had originally loved Rowynn and had to convince him to like it lol but about a week ago I had a sinking feelin that we were going to have a girl and started looking into names again and found that Rowan (boys name and my original inspiration) seems to be fairly popular this year. I know that I am not going to find a name that no one else will have but I really want to stay away from a name that all her classmates will have. My name is Kirsty, pronounced K-EE-rsty or Kiersty, and I loved my name growing up. It wasnt an unheard of name but I have never actually met in person another Kirsty and I am hoping that I can give this to our little girl :D We are of Irish heritage so that is where the two names come from originally. Any help in this matter would be awesome! I honestly prefer Oona Liliana!!
my cousins name is Rowan. and she is so cute. her little sister calls her "rowie"
Rowan Liliana is beautiful. Rowynn looks scary... I'm sorry. And Oona is strange. All I think of is aunt Oona from Altoona, from Family Matters/Steve Urkel. LOL
Love the first nAme. Its the sort of name i would choose.
I dont like either first.
what about using the middles.
Rowynn Liliana is cute too :D
Oona is neat, I've never heard it before but I like it. Rowen is overdone, IMO.
Willow is a beautiful name; my niece's name is Willow. She had a 5% chance of living in utero. She was born perfectly healthy. Willow means strong roots. She sure is a strong girl! I like to think of the meanings of names as well. Good luck hun, I voted for the first!
wtf is oona? Luna is cute.
Oona reminds me of the Bubble Guppies. But Rowan is nice.
I like Rowan. But I would look at some other Irish names. There are so many beautiful ones! My DD's name is Brenna. It's not too common, but not completely out there either.
How would you pronounce Oona? Just ooooh-na? If so, I'm really digging it.
Quoting -BLT-:" I like Rowan. But I would look at some other Irish names. There are so many beautiful ones! My DD's name is Brenna. It's not too common, but not completely out there either. "
I used to LOVE Brenna!
Rowan spelled correctly would be great.
Oona just looks and sounds silly.
