Have you ever had a misdiagnosed miscarriage? Mama Drums TTC since Dec 2010; 17 kids; California 697 posts

So. I haven't been diagnosed with a miscarriage quite yet, but it's looking like it's going to happen. However, we had an u/s at 5w6d and saw the heartbeat. I had one today and there was no heartbeat visible but baby measured the right size for 9 weeks.

Have you ever been told you were going to miscarry, but actually had healthy pregnancy instead??

I was 10 or 11 weeks and started bleeding heavily for the 2nd time. Ultrasound showed a beating heart but was really slow and also showed the placenta had detached about 50% . They prepared me for a miscarriage and scheduled a follow up ultrasound the next day to see if I had passed the baby.

The follow up ultrasound showed a bouncy baby with great heartbeat and the placenta had started to reattach! I delivered at 40 weeks :)

Wow. I thought that might be my case too, maybe in the first u/s one baby was hiding and in this one, they switched. I was on fertility treatments so my chances for multiples is increased.

I have another u/s next week to find out for sure.

Not exactly, In my case I had a severe hemorrhage they thought I had lost the baby, But the baby was fine! Still had a heart beat and in the sonogram it showed that it was in the correct position. . It was just a miscarriage threat.

I was told because they weren't able to see a baby at 5-7 weeks i was miscarry and it turned out it was bc of my tilted uterus. Are your numbers still rising

I don't know. Dr. didn't have them checked. I'm going to call on Monday and see if I can have them test. I had my prenatal checkup before the u/s today and

I'm supposed to get the regular testing done but now I'm not sure if I still need to or not.
