I am 33 weeks and some odd days. Over the last couple weeks I have been having episodes of feeling like I have an elephant on my chest and my heart starts to race. I thought maybe it was my blood pressure going up because with my last two pregnancies I had high blood pressure. But when I took my blood pressure during these episodes it ranges from 70/50-60/40(ish) and my pulse ranges from 90-130. I checked it again after the episode was over and it was a good old fashioned 120/80. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so did it have any implications on your pregnancy or your baby? TIA

I had low blood pressure before and through out my pregnancy and i mean low like talking 40/60 but im fine and my baby is healthy ! Pick up your fluids mumma you may be slightly dehydrated and drinking fluids brings your blood pressure back up if you don't naturally have low blood pressure
My blood pressure runs about 100/60 when Im not pregnant.

I think you should be fine just keep up your fluids as I said but if you a really worried see your OB about it :)
i am 37 weeks and have always suffered with anemia and very low blood pressure... i have had extremely low blood pressure since week 34 more so than normal, and my ob is not worried about it one bit. She was only concerned if i would get high blood pressure - because i am over weight my ob only looks at the common issues overweight pregnant women have troubles with such as high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, swelling, preclampsia, etc. but i do not have any of them infact i have the opposite issues - low suger and low bp. but she doesnt care about it at all and says just deal with it. I personally think it is a little weird that she is not trying to help me or anything as becoz of this i get faint spells, vomiting and heaps of days when i can do nothing except lay in bed i am gettingquite annoyed with feeling like this all the time. But obviously there must be no effects on the baby with all this or she would've said something so relax mumma, drink water, make sure you eat and keep up your excersise that can also bring up blood pressure. ( even just a walk) good luck hope you have a great ending to your pregnancy and that your bubba arrives safe and sound. :)
