HCG levels at 4 weeks? jess ♥ SWA 3 kids; Missouri 5210 posts

Does anybody here remember what their HCG levels were at 4 weeks? My OB called (about time since I'm now 6 weeks) saying that my levels at 4 weeks were "low" ... however, I looked it up online and it says 426 is an average hcg level for 4 weeks? Mine was a nice 608 with a Progestrone level of 22.6.

Just curious!
TIA, ladies!

also: I'm switching OBs, my old OB wants me to go in to get some blood drawn to make sure my levels are where they should be. She said she isn't concerned about my HCG levels because my Progestrone is so high, but since I'm switching OBs (to the one I had who delivered my 2 vessel, 4 week early son) should I just see if I can get an appt early to retest my HCG with my new OB?

(sorry it's so long, thanks again!) :)

Mine were 645 and my progesterone was 20.6.
Your levels sound great to me. They are higher than the chart says for the normal range like mine are.
When I had my miscarriage, my levels was at 16 at 4 weeks and went up to 108 at 8 weeks. That is LOW. lol

Yikes, I'm sorry. That's terrible.

Glad we have normal levels, now!
I don't know why she was telling me how low they were. :\

Did they at least test your levels again before they said you were miscarrying? :\

glad you didn't!

Every doctor has a number they like to see the numbers at I guess. Unless she thinks you are further along or something when she looked at the betas and got mixed up. It's hard to tell sometimes what they are thinking.
As long as your numbers are doubling normally, there really isn't any number that is normal.

Your levels are right where they need to be! Mine were 650 at 4 weeks if I remember correctly. They probably will retest your levels at the new ob just to make sure they are rising how they are supposed to. Take it easy and relax Momma! Congrats!!

Nope. They checked the levels and they were low, which I told them that I couldnt be far along because my period was only a few days late. But I had some spotting and the levels were low so they jumped the gun and ruined my week for no reason.

Maybe it's because I was already getting sick at 4 weeks. She was thinking my HCG levels would be through the roof, even going to do an ultrasound for twins (thank goodness they were nice and normal). So, I don't know, that could be why she said they were low... because they were lower than what she expected them to be?

But she didn't say that at all, "Hello, Jessica. Yes, we got your results back and your HCG level was low. We'd like you to come in and get your blood re-drawn. I'm not worried because your Progestrone is so high, just want to make sure we're where we should be!" :\
