Are we talking about the actual abortion medicine? As in the one that you take a pill and insert some into your vagina?
If that's the case...i did it twice...felt like a heavy period..no big. Cramping like a bad period...took about 12 hours to be done and then bled like postpartum bleeding for about a week.
If you mean plan B..that's just a heavy dose of BC pills..and it didn't work for me. lol
It was offered to me when I was miscarrying in November. I never used it (had a D&C instead) but I heard it causes REALLY bad cramps then you bleed really heavily.
Also, the further along you are the worse the cramping and bleeding will be.
I hope if that is the route you decide its a very easy process. I was considering this for a bit.
Quoting Timothy Hay:" Thanks for sharing. It'll be about 6 weeks when its taken so hopefully that will make the experience less painful."
Hopefully it's an easy process for you. Probably cheaper than a surgical abortion so hopefully it's fairly easy for you hun. Best of luck.
I hope it's an easy process for you. This is what I was considering doing, Jordan's ex also had an abortion, she took the pill and he said it was almost completely painless and she was in the comfort of her own home. Let me know how it goes, I'm thinking of you <3
My fiance's sister took a pill and got the surgery done without any pain killers (she had two abortions because she's a model and doesnt want to ruin her body, i guess).
I didnt want my baby at first (but i wasnt considering abortion), so she told me about some kind of pill, i forget what it was. She said it was like a heavy period with alot of cramping. she also said she had a fever and was throwing up alot for two straight days.
I considered it a month ago when I was trying to decide which choice was best for me.
After a consultation with a doctor at the clinic, and hearing several negative first hand experiences, I decided to go surgical. I would recommend the surgical if the pregnancy is in an early state.
The idea of the pill, or medical abortion, sounds really great. You get to take the medication at home, it's really private.. But I was told by these women who had taken the medication it is VERY painful. You have to devote an entire day to taking these medication at the EXACT time you are scheduled to, or there is a very large chance they wont even work.
DD is almost 3, knowing I would have her with me, the entire time, and the huge risks involved with the whole process, I decided against it.
Research a lot, and make a decision that is right for YOU based on your opinions and judgements on your own situation.
