Fun things to do while pregnant? Angelia.G Due October 15; British Columbia 29 posts

I am 9 weeks pregnant, and wondering ; "what are some fun & safe things to do while pregnant?"
I like to round up a list, and get r done, because it seems to me I am boring now when I used to be so sociable and outgoing, go and visit friends all the time, go out on the town, etc. My boyfriend wants to go out and do stuff, or attend certain things in town which I cannot go to, because theres drinking and lots of people dancing around everywhere, but rarley do anything any more, but sleep , eat , and more sleep. I feel so lazy , and I know i will get over this stage in pregnancy, but I want to know what I can do thats safe and enjoyable while pregnant? I am so bored!!

:!: Being pregnant doesnt mean you are handicapped. LOL. Just don't drink or do anything crazy like bungee jumping. You can still go out with friends and your SO, just try and stay away from smoking (second hand smoke) and don't do anything that you could hurt yourself badly on. (Like I wouldn't wear 6 inch stilletos since Im extra clumbsy when pregnant.)

You can invite your friends out to go see movies with you, go shopping, go out to dinner or lunch with them, have them over to your place, you can go swimming, you can start going to a gym and meet new moms to be, you can go biking, and when you get a baby bump you can invite them to go maternity shopping with you and shopping for baby clothes and items :)

You're still early enough in the pregnancy to do everything the same (Except drinking) but you can definately go dancing!

This.

Seriously, just anything SAFE. Don't go binge drinking, don't ride roller coasters, don't go bungee jumping.

you can still go out, just dont drink... and dancing is fine...
i still go out with friends, and to parties. I'm just obviously not getting hammered, and tend to leave early and go to bed.

I chose my pregnancy to be the perfect time to start parkour. And I learned MMA. :P

I live in a small town , of Fort St John, and theres not much to do ! So I do enjoy dancing! But I get scared of someone bumping into me or something? I'm very cautious , because in August , I had miscarried, and so I'm actually kind of scared of doing alot of things. And I had already quit smoking, the day I found out I was pregnant, and I quit drinking several months ago. I just don't have any pregnant friends, and noone seems to want to hang out with the "pregnant chick" , so it's actually things I want to do with the boyfriend. Frisbee? sounds fun! In summer time! of course, there's still loads of snow here! lol! Swimming is another one that I'd def do !!! thanks everyone for these options I could chose from, and sorry about the second post! My computer is effed up!! :)

Seriously though, you can do anything that doesn't involve a lot of heavy lifting, no drinking or drugs, and just don't overexert yourself. If it looks dangerous to you, don't do it unless your doctor okays it.

It's still snowy here too! I'd suggest then taking up photography, take some nice scenic pictures while on a nature walk :) And maybe try snowshoeing? It's a ton of excersise lol! You can also start shopping the sales and buying baby stuff on clearance like diapers :)
