Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever been stung by a wasp while pregnant. Today I was stung twice, once in my leg and once in my side. I work at a school so I went to the nurse and she gave me some ice. She also had me call me doctor. I am waiting to hear back from her now. I feel o.k. The area on my side had a little bump on it but it has since gone down. I have been stung by a bee before and I am not allergic but the bee sting hurt a lot worst, I think it is because they loose their stinger inside of you but the wasp can sting you a lot of times without dying.

My mom was stung when she was pregnant and her doctor wanted to see her but I think as long as you're not allergic you should be ok. I was wondering too though because I remember my mom rushing to the doctors.

I got stung by a bee while pregnant. IT HURTS!!! I got stung 3 times by the same bee. The damn thing flew up my pants and stung my leg then went on my thighs near my vagina and stung be. Stupid thing. It felt like it went into my underwear so i ran inside but it wasnt there and i thought it went inside of me but it didnt..lol..I just put ice on it and my doc let me take benedryl or tylenol. You should be fine. Just put ice on it and rest for a bit. Im sorry you got stung. I hate bees. I still run when i see them. I look like a chicken with no head. Its crazy. I just pray my son dont get stung this year. Hope you feel better soon hun.

Thank you, my doctor called back and she said that I could take some benadryl if I needed to. I feel o.k. though. I didn't really feel too good today anyway.

I ran out of the bathroom with my pants down around my knees but I did have time to pull my underwear up. It's a student bathroom and their was one student in there LOL!!! We both hid in the handicap stall until someone came to open the door. The wasp was holding us hostage. It feels good to be able to laugh about it now!!!!

my daughter was stung when she was 5 months old. i freaked out and took her to the emergency room where the doctor informed me that wasps can't sting more than once so obviously those 2 spots i saw on her were not really wasp stings! i was so pissed i had seen the bug fly away from her and there were two big red marks on her that weren't there before. he gave her some benadryl and said she didn't need it though b/c no one is allergic to wasps. i was so mad after that though.

I am 7 weeks pregnant and I just got stung by a wasp. I am worried because I've never been stung before and I wasn't sure if the venom could affect my growing baby. It just happened 20 minutes ago and it hurts like hell and is swelling up! Reading all your comments makes me feel a little better, but I'm still so early in my pregnancy that it's still really worrying me.

I got stung by a wasp about a month ago, it hurt like a mofo, but as long as you're not allergic you should be fine. I just ran my finger (where it stung me) under cold water for awhile and squeezed below the marks until it stopped hurting.
