We broought our son home on Monday of this week after 80 days in the NICU. He was born at 25 weeks and 4 days and weighed 1lb13oz. My question is how much should i expect him to eat per feeding. at the hospital they were getting him to take 30-60ml (1-2oz) at every feed and he is not doing that at home. I am lucky to get an oz in him and it is usually less but he is not acting like he starving and is putting out wet diapers....should i be worried about this or do i need to relax a little. He is my first child and i feel like crying because i don't know if i am doing something wrong :(

try waking up a bit while trying to feed. like taking off his clothes or unwrapping him from a blanket anything that you know usually wakes him up. and see if he will eat more

this....i have made it a habit to change my little mans diaper and put lotion on him right before his feeding and he seems to eat much better =]
