My cousin had scoliosis and she had to wear a back brace for a pretty long time.

i have scoliosis and had to wear a brace all through middle school. i only had to wear it for 12 hours a day so i wore it while i was sleeping and any time i wasn't in school. if it's severe enough they should suggest a brace. they also should give you certain stretches you have to do. mine was so curved that it was going into my shoulder blade and causing my ribs to twist. i would go to an orthopedic dr and see what they would suggest.

I have scoliosis and nothing really helps, but i find hot baths/showers stops the pain for a bit!! But anytime i mop, sweep, vacuum or do laundry it just hurts!! Im hoping to get my MMJ card after pregnancy, scoliosis is on the list to get it.

I have mild scoliosis, I didn't have to wear a brace, I chose to do so occasionally because I find myslef slouching and it helps the muscles. I don't want it getting worse. I have chronic lower back pain. It's alos why I given general anesthsia for myc-section. I wasn't about to stick a needle in my spine and have more problems lol

I have a mild case of scoliosis. I actually didn't know until I saw it written on my referral form for physical therapy.

I have pretty bad back pain, IDK if it's from the scoliosis or the other back problems I have (degenerative disc disease & T-11 compression fracture). I've been taking narcotic pain medicine for a while, it's starting to not work but I'm finding that Flexeril is working pretty well for me. It seems like the area that is messed up gets angry, then my muscles start to spasm and it hurts SO bad.

okay i kinda understand most of what yall say. i just know that the pain is right in my lower back and my doctor never mentioned a brace, just exercise, which i am doing. and honestly doing the exercise has been even harder on my back and has made it hard on me to do other things like chores. my back kills me to pick up the house and do dishes and laundry. getting home every afternoon from picking up my girls from school im usually in alot of pain and cant do much. it doesnt work well with having 4 kids that i take care of mostly alone.

If it's mild, strengthening the muscles in your lower back, will help ease the pain.
