My girls do this. Especially around Allergy season. They cough until they throw up because they are gagging on mucus. Is it possible she has some drainage that is bothering her? You can try a cool air vaprizor. No meds sadly.

My daughter is 3 and Is doing the same thing. I took her to urgent care and they said she has an upper resp infection.. The doc told me to rub vicks vapor rub on her feet at night and out socks on and it should cut down her coughing.. Hope you LO starts feeling better

If it gets worse at night try elevating the head of her bed. Vicks vapor rub, cool mist vapor, and lots of saline. I don't know how old she is, but maybe you can suction out some mucus if that ends up being the issue.
You can get the vaporizers at any box store, we got ours at walmart and another at walgreens.

It is frustrating when she does it over and over day after day. Luckily, we have a medical suction machine because she aspirates when she pukes so it helps a lot to clear the gunk out.

we closed up the windows and turned the air on and she was fine till we took her out to play and swim a little in the backyard so i think its allergies.
