Welcome! :)
What is Fertomid? Is that another name for Clomid?

ETA - Just a heads up. Baby Gaga is a forum you will either love or hate. Or love-hate. If someone can find a way to criticize you for something, they will. Members with low post counts are an especially choice target. Refrain from posting threads to vent or complain about anything, as they will 99% be used against you. Especially don't post a thread that criticizes anyone (including not on BG) or most especially, especially don't post a thread to complain about Baby Gaga. You will never, ever win that one.

That said, Baby Gaga is also a great place to get information, as many of the ladies here are very informed about various pregnancy and child related topics. BG is also a place of friendship and tremendous support. I don't know what I would do without the ladies in this thread! It's also a lot of fun. :)

Best advice: Lurk, lurk, lurk. Get to know the culture of the forum a bit so you get a feel for what's acceptable here and what is not. Post in this thread all you like. We won't look for a way to criticize you, we refrain from drama, we are not judgmental (for the most part ), and are here to support you. This is a "safe" place for a newcomer. Good luck!

That makes sense. I'm at such a loss about what to do differently next time. Our follow up appt is next Thursday, I should get a better idea of our game plan then. Hoping to start with my next AF in a few weeks.

Thanks everyone!, The doctor that saw me said birth control can make you periods really light to almost not there if you take certain ones. I just had to be sure before I restarted it today.

We have been using condoms as a back up as well, I just freaked when I saw that tissue, and I just jumped to when I experienced that.

I am MORE upset that my a1c was 7.7 BUT I have been sick, and in the past 3 weeks, have had a round of 10 days of antibiotics, a steroid shot for my Asthma, I was taking Tramadol for the pain in my face from the sinus infection, and infections themselves can make it higher, but I dont know how much it can affect it.

Hi Ladies, looking for some help here... So my ob/gyn is having me take Femara 2.5mg from CD3-8. This is not going to be a monitored round so my question is... Am I supposed to do my OPKs to see when to BD? Also do you ovulate when you normally do? I've done Clomid in the past but it had the opposite effect on me and I didn't get a period for 3 months so he;s hoping this will have a different outcome. I start the meds tomorrow so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated:)!

Yes, you should do OPK (my RE suggests to begin testing the afternoon of CD11/12). As for ovulating when you normally do, IDK since I don't normally ovulate. Good luck!

Obviously the steroids alone will elevate it, and then if you factor in being sick, that certainly didn't help anything. I'm not sure just how much those few instances would elevate the A1C though.

OMG. Last night was CD7, and the first night of injections. My ovaries already feel like they're gonna explode. I hurt. :(

Tomorrow I'm supposed to get a trigger shot since I wasn't on Clomid this round. I've never gotten one before. How long does it generally take to ovulate after the injection?

On average around 36 hours, I believe. I O'd around 20 hours later last cycle...
