I'm the same way.

Just finished my follicle scan. No dominant follicle my largest was 10??? Duh I could have predicted that. My left ovary had 35+ follies and my right had around 20. I didn't get to talk to the doc. I think I should go back in Tuesday. Im starting to regret staying with my OB. They don't deal enough with fertility. She said they hardly do these scans and she had no idea what the normal amount was. She also had never heard of femera. Ugh time to drown my sorrows in shopping and horrible for me food lol.

Hi I had a question about IUI? Before actually having the procedure done what is required to have done such as testing, etc.

This brought tears to my eyes! So sweet. I'm hoping once we get our BFP that I can donate my leftover meds to a couple in need.

I think it likely depends on who you are seeing. An RE will want bloodwork, SA for your partner and an HSG at the very least. A regular OB/GYN might require less.

We started testing with my OB-GYN and did blood work, semen analysis for DH, and an HSG for me. Then we switched over to a RE for treatment. I think it depends on your diagnosis if you'll require additional testing after that. Good luck!

Were choosing to have an IUI because its been 9 cycles of no progress. I'm not comparing that at all to all the women here that have been waiting years you guys are amazing. But its because we lost our daughter when she was 4 months old to SIDS, she was our first baby and only right now. So we just really want another baby, my arms feel so empty :( So we want to go directly to a fertility clinic in about a month or so, so I'm trying to learn about what we need to do before an IUI and what not and get an idea.

Yep, sounds like me love! The first thing she said after saying my lining was thinner than she'd like, but 0.7 and she could work with that was "don't you just hate you don't have any eggs?!?" I sat straight up and fearfully said "really?!?" She said "gosh no, I'm kidding, look at all this!"

I go back Monday so I think you should get checked on Monday or Tuesday too. Last month I had a 12 on Friday and it was 19.6 on Monday. And tomorrow I'm shopping til I'm broke too!

If I find myself in the same position, I will definitely pay it forward. After my BFP I plan on doing something super-special for the 3 that work here at the satellite office. They have been so awesome to me! And maybe I can find some way to donate to a couple even if I don't directly have drugs left.

First of all, I can't tell you how sorry I am. I CANNOT IMAGINE losing a baby to SIDS. That is one of my worst fears! You are so strong mama and I pray God blesses you again soon! The main things I can tell you that you should have in order before you go in: if you're not taking prenatal vitamins, start now. My RE also suggests everyone take 2000mg vit D daily (you and your partner). If you are not already temping, I would begin. This goes without saying, but if you smoke, quit. Try to go off caffeine, if possible or limit to smallest amount you can. Try to eat good foods. Basically, the main thing is to be as healthy as possible.

ETA: To answer your original question, bloodwork for DH and me, SA for DH, and HSG for me.
