Ugh. No thanks to be being awake! When's the surgery date? Is it scheduled yet?

@ Lindsey - I completely understand. I would probably go back and attempt to get full custody with his visitation being every other weekend, and 2 weeks during the summer. This particular arrangement is very common here.

I'm feeling a little more confident about my decision the more I think about it. I'm hoping for a similar custody arrangement. I'm not trying to do it to be mean or vindictive... I just want to be sure Jace gets to and from his appointments. Not to mention that his dad shares a car and a phone with his wife... I just don't see him successful there. I hope the judge agrees with me.

I can definitely see why having full custody in this situation would be more beneficial to Jace. I think you should pursue it. I'm sorry, I know this must be so scary. *hugs*

Thank you. I just hope and pray I can convince a judge the same. When we fought for the parenting plan we have now he did some shady things to make himself look good... like quitting his second job to show he has the time to care for him. He also got an apartment he couldn't' afford (which he was evicted from a month after our divorce was finalized). He spent several months couch surfing with Jace afterwards (which I'm hoping I can use to my advantage). He also got some friends to write these awful letters about me and how I ignored Jace while doing homework. I'm sorry but putting your child in a play pin and turning on music while working on homework, hardly seems like neglect.
Thanks for listening :)

My nephew has minor delays and has blossomed in karate lessons, he is 8 right now and getting transition into general population at school and will continue to have a IEP. Take your ex for full custody, it is defiantly needed.

That's great to hear about your nephew. I want to put him in Karate as soon as I can :) I'm hoping that we can put him in Kindergarten next year (we might change to public school so he can have easy access to the therapists). Either way, he'll have an IEP by fall. I really hope that with the one household and extra therapy and summer school he'll be all caught up to speed fall of 2014.
Thanks so much. I'm about to cry... you gals are awesome.

It may living with the current custody arrangement while attempting to get him his therapy for awhile to show the judge it isn't working.
