Well guys, OHSS is back with a vengeance! I just got back from seeing the NP, my ovaries are huge, my abdomen is full of fluid and I have crackling in my lung bases. YAY... I was dehydrated so she wanted to give me IV fluids. I asked to try to drink my way out of it, and she said I could try but if my bloodwork was bad this afternoon that I'd probably be admitted. No way around it. :( She said at the least I would probably be tapped over the weekend, and I have no room to get any worse w/o being admitted. If you pray, say one for me! If there is ANY good news from this, they did draw another beta. I also asked about my numbers and she said it was right on the line for singleton/twins, so we'll see I guess...

I'll get it this afternoon w/ my other bloodwork. It has to be transported for processing.

Thank you! Me too! What really sucks, is if they make me go in this afternoon...we're expecting tornadoes that we'll get to drive in... When it rains it pours! It's all so worth it though!

I will keep you in my thoughts and my prayers. It is probably best that you would be in the hospital, though. This way they will take great care of you and any help needed will come in a timely manner. I am sure everything will turn out just fine. Hang in there!

Thanks! Fortunately, I guess, I've been through this before when I got pregnant with DS. I was in ICU then though and had a thoracentesis. I don't think I'm as bad this time, at least, not yet.

That's how I feel because we got pregnant on our own. I feel like my RE was trying to push IVF on us to make money. I think he could have done more IUIs before moving onto IVF

Do you know what's all in the vitamins? Its crazy that she didn't test his hormones. At least a urologist will figure out the problem right away. We wasted a lot of time and money at our RE's for a problem that the urologist figured out right away.

Young guys have issues with their sperm. A lot people assume it has ti do with age but it doesn't.

With doctors you never know... Unless you really trust your doc. But hey, I have really trusted mine and, fortunately for me, he was mistaken.
I also see this with dentists a lot. Some tell you to do a bunch of work for a reason of making money off you... It has taken me years to finally find a dentist that does not oversells me unnecessary work. Nice feeling.
I hear you on IVF too. It is probably true that they have higher profit margins with IVF so this is what they want to sell and do.

Fully agree. One of gf's husband had a low sperm count and he was in his 30-s. They never thought he had an issue until he finally went to test it. It has turned out that my gf was fine and it was his sperm count that was a culprit.
Speaking of age, my hubby is 52 and his sperm count is probably just fine since I got pregnant even with my endometriosis.
