So my appointment went well... I really like my doctor. I guess she's not really an RE even though she's in the "fertility" clinic.

DH and I got into a fight this morning so he didn't go :( He says he's done TTC but I know he's really not... it's his way of sticking me where it hurts.

She was so personable. She said she consulted with a few other doctors as well as the NP that does most of the fertility work (in the office where I got IUI done). She said she really wishes we could have done IUI like this month but she was told it's best not to to allow healing. She's sticking with the 3 month rule. She wants me to call the day I get my 2nd AF (end of May) to schedule my hsg. The results of that will determine our plan... she said that if my left tube is not clear or doesn't look normal she'll recommend monitoring to only allow IUI on the right side. She said we might even do a trigger to "get the most bang for our buck." She knows how much I want this... she was like, "if it looks good, we'll go balls to the wall with IUI."

*eta - she also looked at my operation report and everything looked normal other than my "obviously dilated left tube." Also if we have to wait for the right side to O, we might be looking at July... Boo!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Huh I always had follicles on both sides. Idk how you can jut stimulate one side to grow. Can they repair your tube or something if need be?

Great news Lindsey! And don't you just hate it when DH act like babies! Ugh. It sounds like this doc is going to be very proactive. Hoping you'll be getting a BFP in a couple of months! :)

She doesn't do stim meds. She naturally Os. Also, on femara I only produced one follicle. On low dose meds you can easily stimulate one follicle in lots of people, granted the side wouldn't be predictable. She just means they'll monitor and if her bad side is dominant, they'll skip IUI that month.

Thanks ladies! I'm very glad I have such an awesome doc. She sounds very eager to help in anyway she can. Sounds like there is a very knowledgable practitioner there to help as well. I'm not really excited about waiting until July... that's another month longer than I had anticipated. Hate to say it but I was kind of excited when she brought up a trigger... I know it sometimes only stimulates one folli but I wouldn't mind multiples  I really am hoping my hsg shows normal everything... I think she still sounds hesitant to do it when I O from my left anyway...

And yes... men can be buttheads... we kissed and made up last night. I still need him to sign a new consent... before we get down to "balls to the wall with IUI."
Thanks for clarifying Amanda :)

Lindsey, Happy for your that you got a new doc. July does suck but may be it will mean higher chance since your body would be healed by then. I am sorry about your hubby. Now that you guys have made up, I am sure he would sign up to TTC again. He has been there all this time. No reason to give up now. He will come around. :-)

This is true (about the healing). I'm really nervous about the scan. I have this sinking feeling my let tube is going to be all convoluted (sp) and messed up from the ectopic. I was 8 weeks along and the embryo measured over 5 cm in length. I'd be pretty nervous to do it again from that side this soon. My doctor kept saying over and over again how she wants to avoid another ectopic as much as possible.

She's so cute, she asked the NP that does like allllllll of the fertility stuff if we could try again like 6 weeks after the surgery (too bad I already O'd)... if it was too soon and she was like, yeah... we're gonna have her wait at least 3 months.

I'm sure DH will come around. He's been oober cranky lately. We still have to sign a new consent... which means going to the doctor's office between 8-5 monday through friday. For the donor sperm, it's only good for 6 months. So he better come around and sign the damn form.

The doctor also said that she has found that women are more fertile after the hsg which is awesome. I'll take whatever I can get.
