Quoting LamenLaur:" Alright I'm confused. I spoke with our insurance company today to find out how much we would owe for ... [snip!] ... 30 day supply. Does this mean we would have 30 individual 75 unit injectables that we would only have to pay $40 for? Thoughts?"

I think they mean if you take 75 units a day, it will cost you $40 for the month's supply. Although, that also seems kind of strange seeing as you'll only take it for 10 or so days...

That's what I thought but they couldn't tell me specifics until I'm prescribed it. She did mention I would be on it for 8-10 days. Definitely don't want the extras lol

If they'll give you all that for $40, I'd definitely get it and donate it!

Thank you. I figured one day i'd be making a step in this direction, but didn't realize it would be soon.

So my period started yesterday, making it a week early...which is weird considering I was taking clomid this month. GRRR. I will be doing another round of clomid this month while prepping to start IUI next month. I'm waiting to hear back from the dr's office about how much exactly the procedure itself would cost. I ordered the medication today so that portion is all set. Now we just sit and wait... and wait and wait

You would not be using Follistim for 30 days. More like a week, maybe two but that's for DOR women like me. 75 units IS your daily dose and I'm pretty sure what they're saying is it's $40 for however much you'll need for that cycle, in 75iu doses. Lucky you! It was $600 a day for me for two weeks. :?

Saw my OB/GYN yesterday. Everything's going well on the surgery complication front and now I'm preparing to prepare for my FET. One of the things I have to do first is have my annual endocervical curettage. I asked my OB if it was okay to go ahead on that and she was like, "Sure. Let's do it right now!"

Awwww HELL no. I have to be doped up for that. :)

I could tell she thinks that's dumb but damn, they hurt SO much. So I'll be getting that done in 2 1/2 weeks and she's also able to do my SHG! I'm pretty sure I'll have to drive the 2 1/2 hours to my RE anyway though for a mock transfer. Bleh.

So the ETA for me is...a long ass time. :(

Glad things are well on the post surgery front! Question for you - Does your RE do a mock transfer for every cycle? Ours has never done one and never mentioned it. I'm wondering if I should bring it up at our follow up? Our clinic is big and has multiple REs who rotate doing the transfers so maybe this is why?

I had only one mock transfer and have had five embryo transfers. The only reason I'm needing another one is because of the cerclage.

Yay! It sounds like we're going to be doing our HSG at about the same time. I'll probably be doing it sometime around 6/5-6/6.

Ok, makes sense. If you don't mind me asking.. out of 5, how many took? I'm still so bummed that we haven't had luck yet after 2.

I'm supposed to take an antibiotic before I start ivf and the last couple times I've taken antibiotics they've given me a yeast infection. Is there a way to avoid this?
