Quoting Jace's Mom [TTC #2]:" Probably sometime between June 11-15th. Depending on how long it takes me to O... I usually O around CD 15-18."

Oh ok, Gotcha. When I asked, they said somewhere between 1600 -2400. The last time I went it was about 1600 but at that point I had different insurance

Wow. That's a nice chunk of change.
I'd pay it though if it meant having a healthy pregnancy and baby :)
I think I have pretty decent insurance based on what I'm reading what people pay for IUI....

I just read your post. lol.

Yeah its pretty hefty. A friend of mine said she paid $300 and she doesn't have fertility coverage. I don't have it either so everything will be out of pocket. My husband and I were blessed to have his family say that they will pay for our fertility treatment

Quoting Jace's Mom [TTC #2]:" I never have. When can you do it? Can you take some valium before? lol"

I have to wait for my cycle to start and then I can do it anytime after that as long as I'm on birth control. And YES Valium helps with those kinds of procedures better than anything else IMO. I'm going to request a script for two.

Quoting Jace's Mom [TTC #2]:" I'm such a noob but...What can I expect as far as monitoring for IUI? Like what CD will they want to ... [snip!] ... they want to do an ultrasound? Will I have more than 1? Do they do blood work for LH? All questions I should have asked my OB."

I honestly don't know for an unmedicated cycle. I would assume they'd do bloodwork to help predict and confirm ovulation. Ultrasounds will help with that too although it's a bit overkill. If they don't add to your cost though, why not!

Nice :) That's so awesome of them.
I've been working crazy overtime to make sure we have the cash to pay for it while we're in our 3 month wait.

Our new doctor broke down a full IUI cycle pricing to include the ultrasounds, office visits, etc. it was estimated around $3,000 for everything. This doesn't include the price for the injectables. IVF is around $12,000 per try.

I think my copay for ultrasounds are $20.... at least they have been so far. $20 to look at my eggs... sure! :)
I guess it just kinda all goes back to the "it depends on the results of my hsg" :-?

Quoting LamenLaur:" The past two times AF has been way too kind to me. It's lasted no more than 3 days and wasn't nearly as bad as it usually is. I've gotten to be a bit spoiled."

What is AF? Huh? CD 44 now. :? I don't know how you PCOS ladies do it. I hate being in the dark about my cycle.

Good grief! The price we pay to get knocked up!

We honestly were not planning on doing IUI at this time. I was only taking donations for a resolve.org walk that's taking place next month. They decided to not contribute to that but to direct contribute to helping us have a baby.

When I had different insurance it was about 1800 with medications and IVF would've been 10,000. Now, i'm not sure what either one will be

What was your plan if not IUI? We're you guys going to try IVF?
