I have PCOS so I'm always eating low carb/low fat. I was on Metformin for many years because of my PCOS but I do not have IR. Before Metformin my testosterone was high, since taking Metformin it's normal.

That's fantastic news :) I hope you can get a good shot. I can't believe you're almost done with the first tri!
Thanks so much for the baby dust! Much needed this cycle! :)

I'll def post about it after :) I'm really nervous to see the results. I'm hoping that it's clear but I think I'll make peace with it if only one is clear. Idk what we'll do if both aren't clear. We decided a long time ago that we'd draw the line at IUI with meds being as far as we'd go (being that IVF would be out of the question... unless we were using DH's sperm). I'm keeping my fingers crossed at least one is good... especially since I've already one baby :)

I have been on metformin for a year. They never tested my insulin levels so I don't know if they are normal or not. It took about 6 months for the metformin to really work for me but it did start my period to be somewhat normal after just a few weeks. I was on a low carb gluten free diet before I got pregnant. I did ovulate on my own the month before I was on femera and got pg. Good luck!!!

Thanks :) I'm trying to think about it with "it is what it is" approach and not stress.

Hey ladies! I used Clomid to get pregnant with my DD who just turned 3. I called my doc today to get set up for using Clomid again for TTC #2. She said she needed to check my ovaries first and to call for an appt when AF comes. Anyone know what this would be? I assume just pushing and feeling on the outside or would it be an internal exam or a sonogram? I didn't have to do that the first time around (different doc). TIA!

I remember seeing you around the TTC boards when I was TTC my daughter! She's probably going to do a sonogram to check for cysts and stuff like that.

I'm pretty sure I have GD again. :( With all this Metformin talk in here I hope my doctor will put me on Met if I do have it. I know he won't since mine was diet controlled last time.

I saw my doc today and he said I could stay on met my whole pg. He said he has never had anyone do it but if I wanted to that was fine. I'm hoping it will make it so I don't have another giant baby. I was never diagnosed with gd though.
